Kisah Relawan MER-C di Gaza Jalankan Misi Kemanusiaan dalam Kepungan Serangan Israel | BERUT
GAZA, KOMPAS.TV - Israel terus membombardir wilayah Gaza sambil menyerukan perintah evakuasi. Di tengah krisis kemanusiaan, relawan Medical Emergency Rescue Committee atau MER-C tetap konsisten menjalankan misi penyelamatan dan penyaluran bantuan bagi warga Gaza.Namun, langkah relawan dalam mendistribusikan bantuan menemui sejumlah hambatan.
Salah satu relawan MER-C yang bertugas di Klinik Al Mawasi Al Aqsa B, Gaza Selatan, Dokter Eka Budhi Satyawardhana, mengatakan relawan menghadapi tantangan besar dalam pendistribusian bantuan. Jumlah bantuan yang masuk masih sangat sedikit, tidak sebanding dengan kebutuhan warga Gaza akibat blokade Israel.
Klinik Mawasi Al Aqsa B, tempat relawan MER-C bertugas, memiliki poli gizi untuk memantau kesehatan kelompok rentan di Gaza, seperti anak-anak, lansia, dan ibu hamil.
MER-C memiliki misi memastikan bantuan kemanusiaan sampai ke masyarakat rentan di Gaza di tengah penderitaan akibat perang.
Dalam menjalankan tugas, Dokter Eka juga bercerita kerap menghadapi situasi dilematis saat hendak menyelamatkan korban. Para tenaga medis harus memprioritaskan pasien dengan tingkat kesembuhan paling tinggi.
