VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
In late 2023, a journalist scrolling through satellite photos of the Himalayas noticed something odd. In the snow-capped mountains of Bhutan, there's a building that shouldn't exist. It's not on any map. No signage and no visitors. It turned out to be a government-run Bitcoin mine. And that one discovery... cracked open one of the strangest economic stories on Earth. Because Bhutan isn't supposed to be this place. It’s known as the last Himalayan Kingdom and a land of monasteries and tourism. So why was this kingdom — of all kingdoms — secretly mining Bitcoin? And how did it secretly become one of the largest holders of Bitcoin on the entire planet?
People, Bhutan is one of the most beautiful poor countries in the world!! Now think about this: India was poor because of 200 years of colonisation, but Bhutan was never colonised. No war ever destroyed it and no dictator looted it. Bhutan was poor simply because of geography. Look at this, 90% of Bhutan is only mountains, they have no sea, no port, no plains and no highway to anywhere. And that means nothing that Bhutan makes can ever leave the country. So do you realise?? Bhutan is meant to be poor by design!! Every country on Earth gets rich through three methods — they either farm like Argentina, manufacture like China, or provide services like India's IT industry. But Bhutan cannot do any of this because services need a large, educated population, and Bhutan just had 11 schools. Manufacturing needs ports, and Bhutan has no ports. Agriculture needs farmland — but 97% of Bhutan's land cannot grow anything at all!!! This is the reason why Bhutan was always poor!!
So you know what they did? While every other poor country tried to grow crops, Bhutan chose the most absurd business that nobody wanted, and that was Bitcoin mining!!! Bitcoin mining, btw, is such a dangerous business that even rich countries like Sweden increased electricity tax by 6000% to stop it, oil-rich countries like Kuwait banned it, and even China banned its mining due to environmental reasons. So the question is, why were the richest countries in the world scared of Bitcoin? Why did Bhutan choose to mine Bitcoin,
