Akan ada tiga titik utama tempat unjuk rasa berlangsung, di antaranya ada Kementrian Perhubungan, Istana Negara dan Gedung DPR RI.
Salah satu tuntutan yang dilayangkan oleh asosiasi ojol ini adalah desakan untuk pencopotan Menteri Perhubungan (Menhub) Dudy Purwaghandi oleh Presiden Prabowo.
Hal itu dibenarkan oleh keterangan Ketua Umum Garda Indonesia, Raden Igun Wicaksono, Selasa (16/9).
Menurut Igun, selama Dudy menjabat sebagai Menteri Perhubungan, asosiasi ojol mengaku mengalami banyak kemunduran.
Menhub dinilai lebih mementingkan kesejahteraan perusahaan aplikator transportasi dibanding dengan para pengemudi.
Secara tak langsung, Garda Indonesia menilai terjadinya "vendor driven policy" dimana perusahaan-perusahaan aplikasi transportasi onlien telah mengendalikan kebijakan-kebijakan dari Menhub.
Perlu diketahui, demonstrasi yang dilakukan oleh asosiasi ojol bertepatan dengan peringatan Hari Perhubungan Nasional.
Ada pun dalam unjuk rasa kali ini, berencana diikuti oleh sejumlah aliansi mahasiswa, termasuk Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia (BEM UI).
Dalam aksi demo kali ini, sebagi besar driver ojol akan melakukan off bid atau menonaktifkan aplikasi.
Hal ini sebagai bentuk solidaritas yang dilakukan ojol dalam rangka protes bertajuk "Aksi Kebangkitan Jilid II Transportasi Online Nasional 217".
Garda juga mengimbau agar masyarakat yang biasa menggunakan aplikasi ojol untuk bisa memakai moda transportasi lain.
