US-Israel war on Iran: Civilian casualties rise as Tehran buildings destroyed
Nearly a month into US and Israeli airstrikes, damage continues across Tehran, including a strike on a commercial building in the capital’s northeast.The blast caused severe destruction, collapsing parts of the structure and damaging nearby residential buildings.
The building housed civilian businesses, including clinics, cafés and a media services company.
At least 10 people were injured in the latest attack, with residents describing scenes of panic and destruction.
Iran’s Health Ministry says more than 2,000 people have been killed nationwide since the war began, including hundreds of women and children.
More than 26,000 others have been injured, while thousands of homes and commercial units have been damaged.
Schools, healthcare facilities and key infrastructure have also been hit, worsening the humanitarian impact.
Businesses are struggling to survive, with widespread disruption to economic activity.
Civilians continue to bear the brunt of the conflict as uncertainty over the war’s duration grows.
