I went to Poorest Country in ASIA : TIMOR LESTE
Welcome to another episode of my Oceania Series as I continue my journey to visit every country in the world. In this episode, I travel to Timor Leste, one of the youngest and least developed countries in Asia. I flew from Australia to Bali and then continued my journey from Bali to Timor Leste, as Bali is one of the main gateways for travelers heading to the country.
I spent around four to five days in the capital city, Dili, exploring the streets, walking around different parts of the city, meeting locals, and experiencing everyday life in a country that very few tourists visit.
One thing that really stood out to me was how welcoming and friendly the people were. Timor Leste felt very different from many of the other countries I have visited, and spending several days here gave me a chance to experience the country beyond the usual tourist attractions.
And yes, this is Dili in Timor Leste, not Delhi in India!
Join me as I explore Dili and discover what life is really like in one of the world’s lesser visited countries.
