MIGRANTENANSTURM AUF CEUTA: Marokko nennt Fake News als Auslöser für die massive Flüchtlingswelle
Marokko hat sich erstmals zum Massenansturm auf die spanische Exklave Ceuta geäußert. Die Regierung in Rabat macht gezielte Fake News in sozialen Medien für die Eskalation verantwortlich. Die Lage bleibt angespannt. EU-Botschafter beraten in Brüssel über Konsequenzen. Danach folgen Gespräche der Innenminister.

Auch die Zahl der Migranten ist umstritten. Während von rund 60.000 Menschen die Rede ist, nennt das marokkanische Innenministerium höchstens 40.000. Nach Angaben aus Madrid sind mehr als 50.000 Menschen bereits nach Marokko zurückgekehrt. Viele standen dabei unter militärischer Begleitung.

In Spanien greift die Opposition die sozialistische Regierung von Pedro Sánchez an. Sie wirft ihr vor, mit der geplanten Legalisierung von 500.000 Migranten einen Magneteffekt ausgelöst zu haben. Die migrationskritische Vox-Partei ruft zu Demonstrationen in Madrid auf.

Zugleich wächst der Druck aus Europa. 22 Staats- und Regierungschefs, darunter Friedrich Merz, fordern in einem Brief einen härteren Kurs. Die SPD warnt davor, die Politik rechtsgerichteter Regierungen zu übernehmen. Adis Ahmetović fordert Entschlossenheit nach außen und Solidarität nach innen. Die Guardia Civil hat unterdessen eine 500 Meter lange Seesperre installiert.
