Die Gespräche zwischen dem Iran und den Außenministern Deutschlands, Frankreichs und Großbritanniens in Genf blieben ohne konkrete Ergebnisse. Irans Außenminister Abbas Araghtschi lehnt Verhandlungen ab, solange israelische Angriffe andauern. US-Präsident Donald Trump sieht keine Rolle für Europa und will diplomatischen Bemühungen nur noch begrenzt Zeit einräumen.Unterdessen setzt Israel seine Luftangriffe auf den Iran fort. Ziele im Iran, darunter eine Atomanlage in Isfahan, wurden erneut angegriffen. Der israelische Außenminister Gideon Saar erklärte, die Angriffe hätten das iranische Atomprogramm deutlich zurückgeworfen. Der Iran reagierte mit Raketenangriffen auf Israel.
Araghtschi warnt vor einer US-Kriegsbeteiligung und zweifelt öffentlich an Washingtons diplomatischer Absicht. Aufgrund der Eskalation wurden deutsche Staatsbürger:innen per Luftwaffe aus Israel ausgeflogen.
