Iran Launches New Strikes on Israel | Ex-US Colonel Explains
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says it has launched a new wave of strikes targeting Israel as the conflict between the two countries continues to escalate.Rescue teams in Holon, central Israel, have been clearing rubble after debris from a strike sparked a fire in the area. The attack comes as tensions across the region remain high and military operations continue on multiple fronts.
In an interview from Washington, retired US colonel and former senior military adviser for Middle East affairs Abbas Dahook discussed the balance of power between the United States, Israel, and Iran. He said the military capabilities of the US and its allies far outweigh Iran’s forces in terms of technology, resources, and political backing.
However, the former adviser also warned that military strength alone cannot determine the outcome of such a conflict. According to him, ideology and nuclear knowledge cannot simply be destroyed through military force, and any lasting resolution would require diplomacy and international mediation.
As the war continues, questions remain about whether diplomatic efforts could emerge to end the fighting and prevent further escalation in the region.
