El Estado de Israel, más controvertido que la pizza con piña, existe hoy en día en gran manera por la acción británica. El elemento clave de lo que te digo, la Declaración Balfour, una carta del ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del Reino Unido al líder sionista Lionel Walter Rothschild en el que expresaba el apoyo a la creación de un Estado Judío. Las consecuencias de esto… una imagen vale más que mil palabras.Pero como todo en relaciones internacionales, no es que el Reino Unido, quien gobernaba sobre el entonces Mandato Británico de Palestina, haya querido ser bonachones con los judíos. Había intereses de por medio, posiblemente a sabiendas de las catastróficas consecuencias que irían a ocurrir y que se viven hasta la actualidad.
