Die Reaktorkatastrophe von Tschernobyl verändert das Leben von Anatolii Gubariev. Im Mai 1986, kurz nach dem Super-GAU, wird der Wirtschaftsprüfer gemeinsam mit anderen Reservisten in die verstrahlte Kraftwerksruine geschickt, um dort als sogenannter Liquidator Feuer zu löschen. ARD-Journalistin Sarah Fischbacher hat Anatolii getroffen und erzählt von seinem gefährlichen Einsatz vor 40 Jahren in Tschernobyl, wie sowjetische und ukrainische Behörden Anatoliis Strahlenschäden verschleierten und wie der Zusammenbruch der Sowjetunion letztlich sein Leben rettet.Hier geht’s zum fünfteiligen Doku-Podcast “Tschernobyl.
