«La vita è davvero strana, dato che pensavo di indossare questa fascia solo per celebrare eventualmente dei matrimoni...e invece eccoci qua per la terza volta». Con queste parole, Matteo Biffoni (Pd) ha salutato il pubblico della sala del Consiglio comunale di Prato, radunato per la proclamazione ufficiale dopo le elezioni vinte al primo turno lo scorso weekend con il 55% dei voti. «Lo voglio dire onestamente -ha spiegato al microfono Biffoni- ero scettico verso la struttura commissariale per la gestione amministrativa della città. Ma voglio dire anche che mi sono creduto e che devo ringraziare Claudio Sammartino per il lavoro svolto e soprattutto per la passione che ci ha messo, che per me è la cosa più importante».
