Sanciones internacionales golpean al sector petrolero venezolano

Venezuela cuenta con las mayores reservas de petróleo probadas del mundo, con 303.000 millones de barriles, aproximadamente una quinta parte del total global. Sin embargo, su producción se ha desplomado a cerca de un millón de barriles diarios, menos del 1 % de la producción mundial.

Según la Administración de Información Energética de Estados Unidos, las sanciones internacionales han debilitado gravemente al sector petrolero del país sudamericano. Venezuela exporta alrededor de la mitad de su petróleo, principalmente a Estados Unidos y China, aunque el volumen que envía a la nación asiática representa menos del 1 % de sus importaciones totales de crudo. Analistas señalan que, a corto plazo, los precios del hidrocarburo podrían aumentar debido a las tensiones actuales, mientras que un incremento en la producción a largo plazo podría ayudar a estabilizar la oferta. #Venezuela #Biz
