A leading figure in China’s Trance scene, he made history as the first Chinese artist to grace the main stage of the Transmission Festival. Behind the scenes, not only an original score composer, he is producer for a string of A-list icons, including Phoenix Legend, Cyndi Wang, Qin Lan and Dylan Wang. Also, as a leading gaming score composer he is the man behind ‘Celestial March’ - the theme for ‘Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3’ which has surpassed 100 million streams & served as the official backing score for the Chinese National Team at the Paris Olympics!
Co-written with Wang Qian (songwriter, DJ, producer on FSOE & even the one who ‘pushed the button’ at ABGT300 in Hong Kong!), ‘Blooming’ is built around a gorgeous melody played on a traditional Chinese instrument called an Erhu - by Adria Du - a member of the Guangdong National Orchestra. While deeply rooted in classical tradition, she has made a name for herself at the forefront of cross-genre innovation, blending the erhu with electronic music, video games, and film scoring.
The lush vocals are by NiNi, another multi-talented artist involved in numerous TV dramas, events, songwriter, score composer, vocal producer on the massive E-Pop Unity show & founder of CUEMUSIC studio.
In its Trance version, ‘Blooming’ is a full throttle 138bpm main room monster with crystalline production, sizzling synth work, that gorgeous Erhu refrain NiNi’s beautiful vocals, pounding beats and a rock-solid drop that will please dreamers everywhere
The cinematic Chillout mix really is something stunning, with echoes of Ryuichi Sakamoto about its beautiful layers of Erhu, those haunting vocals, strings & piano. An imagined love theme for an as-yet unmade movie score.
