EE. UU. amplía su ofensiva comercial con nuevos aranceles a 60 economías

Estados Unidos impondrá aranceles de entre 10 y 12,5 % a productos importados de 60 economías bajo el argumento de presuntas prácticas relacionadas con el uso del trabajo forzoso.
La nueva medida entrará en vigor este viernes, coincidiendo con el vencimiento de un arancel temporal del 10% aplicado a nivel global. La decisión se produce mientras la Administración Trump busca reactivar su estrategia tarifaria de alcance internacional, después de que la Corte Suprema de Estados Unidos anulara en febrero los amplios gravámenes impuestos anteriormente, que llegaban hasta el 50 %.
Los nuevos aranceles afectarán a la mayoría de las importaciones estadounidenses, aunque quedarán excluidos determinados productos, como el petróleo, el gas, los fertilizantes y algunos alimentos. La medida se aplicará al amparo de la Sección 301 de la Ley de Comercio de 1974, una herramienta que permite a Washington tomar acciones contra prácticas comerciales que considera injustas. #EEUU #aranceles #DM #xw
