Saudi Arabia, China, Israel and the Houthis are at the centre of a rapidly changing Yemen conflict. Reports of suspected Chinese-made DF-15A ballistic missile debris in Yemen's Marib Governorate have raised questions about whether Saudi Arabia has used its previously secretive ballistic-missile arsenal against Houthi forces. However, the missile's identification and ownership remain unconfirmed.

At the same time, Saudi Arabia is facing an increasingly serious Houthi offensive along Yemen's Red Sea coast. Houthi forces have captured strategically important territory around Mocha, Perim/Mayyun and other Red Sea islands, putting pressure on the Bab al-Mandab Strait, one of the world's key maritime chokepoints.

Reports also indicate that Saudi Arabia has approached Israel indirectly through US Central Command (CENTCOM) for intelligence assistance to counter the Houthi threat and prevent further disruption around Bab al-Mandab.

The crisis comes as Houthi attacks and other attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure are putting additional pressure on the kingdom's oil-export system. Reuters reported that attacks and pipeline disruptions were pushing oil prices higher amid concerns about global supply.

In this video, we examine the DF-15A missile mystery, Saudi Arabia's ballistic missile capability, China's possible role, Israel-Saudi intelligence cooperation, the Houthi offensive, Bab al-Mandab, Yemen's strategic importance and the wider China-Israel-Saudi geopolitical equation.

Watch till the end to understand why the latest developments could reshape the military balance in Yemen and the strategic balance across the Red Sea and Middle East.
