Jahrelang profitierten Kriminelle unter anderem von unwürdigen Zuständen in sogenannten Schrottimmobilien in #NRW, Niedersachsen und Berlin, während der Staat Lücken beim behördlichen Datenaustausch offen ließ. „Da haben ehrlicherweise alle gepennt“, urteilt Petersen im Studio über das Versäumnis von Bund, Ländern, SPD und CDU. Das Wichtigste in Kürze: - Wie groß ist das Problem? Bei der Bundesagentur für Arbeit gab es im letzten Jahr rund 110.000 Verdachtsfälle auf Sozialbetrug – bei über fünf Millionen Grundsicherungsempfängern, zuzüglich Dunkelziffer. - Welche Rolle spielt die EU-Freizügigkeit? Die Reisefreiheit innerhalb der Europäischen Union erschwert die gezielte Steuerung der Zuwanderung, was Ausbeutung und Missbrauch begünstigt hat. Mit dem Zehn-Punkte-Plan sollen die Schnittstellen der Behörden nun endlich geschlossen werden. Ob die Maßnahmen ausreichen, um das florierende Geschäft mit dem #Sozialmissbrauch nachhaltig zu stoppen, bleibt abzuwarten.
