Dengan demikian Israel memiliki otoritas penuh di seluruh perbatasan darat wilayah Palestina.
Juru bicara militer Daniel Hagari mengatakan pasukan Israel telah memperoleh kendali "operasional" atas "Koridor Philadelphia".
Dengan menggunakan nama kode militer Israel untuk koridor sepanjang 14 km di sepanjang satu-satunya perbatasan Jalur Gaza di Mesir.
"Koridor Philadelphia berfungsi sebagai jalur oksigen bagi Hamas, yang biasa digunakan untuk menyelundupkan senjata ke wilayah Jalur Gaza," kata Hagari.

Abdel Fattah juga menyerukan kepada komunitas internasional untuk segera memberikan bantuan kemanusiaan jangka panjang ke Gaza.
Dia lebih lanjut mendesak para pemimpin global untuk mencegah segala upaya Israel untuk mengusir paksa warga Palestina dari tanah mereka.
Sisi menekankan bahwa perdamaian dan stabilitas di kawasan tidak mungkin tercapai tanpa penanganan masalah Palestina secara komprehensif.
Dia menganjurkan βkomitmen yang serius dan segera terhadap solusi dua negara dan pengakuan atas hak sah Palestina atas negara merdeka.β
