JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Presiden Prabowo Subianto menyatakan bahwa pembangunan Giant Sea Wall di wilayah pesisir Jakarta hingga Semarang menjadi prioritas pemerintah.Prabowo menilai kenaikan permukaan air laut di dua wilayah tersebut mengancam kehidupan masyarakat setempat.
Sementara itu, Menko Bidang Infrastruktur dan Pembangunan Kewilayahan Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) menyebut pembangunan Giant Sea Wall sebagai langkah krusial untuk menyelamatkan masa depan jutaan masyarakat pesisir utara Pulau Jawa.
AHY menekankan bahwa Giant Sea Wall merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam melindungi kawasan pesisir dari dampak perubahan iklim.
