لماذا نشعر بالإحراج أحيانًا نيابة عن شخص آخر بينما هو نفسه لا يشعر بأي إحراج؟ هذا بالضبط شعور كل من يشاهد شخصية مايكل سكوت في مسلسل "ذا أوفيس".. لماذا يحاول مايكل دائمًا إثارة إعجاب الآخرين والشعور بقبولهم؟ وكيف تنقلب محاولاته لتأتي بنتيجة عكسية وتصبح مصدرًا للشعور بالـ"كرينج"؟ لماذا كلما ركزنا أكثر على صورتنا أمام الآخرين، أفسدنا تلك الصورة بالارتباك والتصرفات المحرجة؟ وهل "الكرينج" هو أن نتصرف بطريقة خاطئة فعلًا؟ أم هو الفجوة بين الصورة التي نريد أن نرسمها لأنفسنا، والصورة التي تكشفها تصرفاتنا؟ وهل الحل أن نتعلم كيف نتجنب "الكرينج".. أم أن نتوقف عن الاهتمام برأي الآخرين إلى هذا الحد؟
