Lecciones de seguridad en Bitcoin tras fallos en BitBox, Maya Protocol, Mostro y Decred. Analizamos qué tienen en común estos incidentes, el papel de la inteligencia artificial (tanto para encontrar bugs como para reducir el costo de los ataques), la deuda de auditoría acumulada y por qué la complejidad tecnológica aumenta la superficie de ataque.
Desde la perspectiva de la autocustodia, explicamos por qué “configurar una vez y olvidarse” de la hardware wallet que usemos no es suficiente, y compartimos medidas prácticas:
• Usa siempre passphrase (la vigésimo quinta palabra)
• Descarga apps y firmwares solo desde sitios oficiales
• Resguarda tus semillas de forma física y offline
• Mantén el firmware actualizado y considera ediciones Bitcoin-only cuando sea posible
La verdadera defensa no es el software perfecto, sino una cultura de verificación constante y responsabilidad individual.
