The ONLY Grid System Video You’ll Ever Need As A Designer

One graphic design video, one graphic design grid system that actually works!
👉🍋 A total design system strategy for 2027: https://youtu.be/nwddBzKhywY

What makes three completely different designs feel like they belong to the same campaign? In this graphic design guide, I’ll show you how to build a grid system in five steps, then put it to work across a portrait poster, a landscape banner and a second poster layout. We’ll start with the brief and what your audience needs to notice first, then turn those decisions into margins, columns, gutters, column spans and a consistent spacing rhythm. You’ll see how the same design rules can create cohesion across formats while giving each layout room to do its own job. We’ll also cover when it makes sense to break the grid and what to do when a perfectly balanced headline suddenly comes back from the client with several extra words. Finally, we’ll hide the guides and check the design at its intended size to see whether the hierarchy holds up, the message is clear and the next action is easy to find. By the end, you’ll have a practical way to build a flexible grid for your own posters, adverts, editorial layouts and brand campaigns. The budget sci-fi helmet is optional.
