Il nuovo casello di Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza) è operativo. Il presidente della Regione Veneto Luca Zaia era presente all'inaugurazione del nuovo casello autostradale sull'A4 di Montecchio Maggiore, aperto alle 11 del 25 giugno. «Con l'apertura del casello di Montecchio si chiude la questione Pedemontana veneta, 94 km a pagamento e 68 di nuove strade non a pagamento, risolvendo uno storico punto nero della viabilità regionale. Ringrazio i cittadini e i molti espropriati che hanno permesso la realizzazione di quest'opera. Peraltro, da gennaio di quest'anno abbiamo già avuto un incremento di traffico, da quasi 50 mila veicoli siamo passati a oltre 70 mila al giorno, e nei prossimi nove anni, che è il nostro punto di break-even, credo che la Pedemontana sarà sempre più utilizzata. Questa è l'infrastruttura attualmente più importante che abbiamo e che dobbiamo seguire, ma attendiamo con ansia il progetto che riguarda l'Alta velocità e l'Alta capacità che peraltro passeranno proprio qui».
