New York sotto il diluvio: temporali e strade allagate fermano la città

Nella notte tra il 30 e il 31 ottobre New York è stata travolta da intensi temporali, con piogge abbondanti che hanno colpito tutta la città. Nella zona di Central Park e a Brooklyn sono caduti quasi 5 centimetri di pioggia, provocando gravi problemi alla circolazione stradale. Automobilisti e pendolari si sono trovati bloccati da strade allagate e traffico congestionato, mentre numerosi alberi sono caduti causando ulteriori disagi.La Direzione Emergenze di New York ha esortato i residenti a evitare le aree allagate, mantenersi lontani da linee elettriche e alberi pericolanti e limitare gli spostamenti non indispensabili.
