Film tersebut menampilkan Morgan Oey dan Zulfa Maharani yang didapuk sebagai calon suami istri.
Cerita dari film itu dimulai dari sepasang calon suami istri, Salim dan Tasya, memutuskan untuk memindahkan sesi foto pre-wedding mereka ke rumah keluarga Salim, setelah bibinya satu-satunya keluarga sedarah yang tersis meninggal dunia.
Namun, kehadiran mereka di rumah tersebut membawa lebih dari sekadar kenangan lama.
"Pernikahan Arwah (The Butterfly House)" tidak hanya menonjolkan kisah horor yang mencekam, tetapi juga memperkenalkan budaya Tionghoa peranakan kepada penonton," tutur Morgan Oey kepada awak media, Rabu (29/1/2025).
"Dengan menggabungkan elemen misteri dengan eksplorasi budaya yang jarang diangkat, film ini siap menjadi salah satu film horor yang paling dinantikan tahun ini," tambah Morgan.
Selain Morgan Oey dan Zulfa Maharani, film ini juga dibintangi Jourdy Pranata, Brigitta Cynthia, Puty Sjahrul, Amagerald, Alam Setiawan, Verdi Solaiman, dan Bonita, yang masing-masing memerankan karakter dengan rahasia dan latar belakang berbeda.
Film Pernikahan Arwah tayang 27 Februari 2025, bersamaan dengan perilisan di tujuh negara Asia lainnya.
