Die Maha Kumbh Mela – das größte Pilgerfest der Welt – geht heute nach sechs Wochen zu Ende. Hunderte Millionen Besucherinnen und Besucher, Hunderte Millionen an Ausgaben, Milliarden an Umsatz: Indien schmückt sich mit Superlativen und versucht, Kritik an Massenpaniken und Diskriminierung von Minderheiten im Keim zu ersticken. Franziska Amler aus dem ARD-Studio in Neu- Delhi war auf dem Event der Superlative, hinter dem mehr steckt als ein religiöses Ereignis, besonders für den indischen Premierminister Narendra Modi.Für NDR Info hat Franziska ein Feature über die Meha Kumbh Mela in diesem Jahr gemacht.
