Sul referendum sulla giustizia è scoppiata la polemica dopo alcune dichiarazioni di Nicola Gratteri. Intervenuto a Piazzapulita, il magistrato ha voluto chiarire il senso delle sue parole, respingendo le interpretazioni che gli sono state attribuite.Gratteri ha spiegato di aver semplicemente espresso un’opinione personale: a suo parere, a votare Sì saranno soprattutto coloro ai quali l’attuale sistema conviene, in particolare quei centri di potere che non desiderano essere sottoposti al controllo della magistratura. Ha però precisato di non aver mai affermato che tutti i sostenitori del Sì appartengano a tali centri di potere.Secondo il magistrato, chi ha letto le sue parole in modo diverso lo avrebbe fatto in malafede, con l’intento di alimentare lo scontro.
