Dedi Mulyadi mengaku saat itu banyak iring-iringan mobil pejabat dan tokoh penting yang hendak menghadiri acara di Kampus Unhan sehingga lalu lintas macet.
Hal itu disampaikan Dedi Mulyadi melalui akun TikTok pada Kamis (12/6).
Lantas, Dedi menyebut dirinya berinisiatif menumpang motor polisi agar segera sampai ke tujuan.
Dedi merasa harus tiba di lokasi terlebih dahulu dibanding Presiden Prabowo Subianto.
Ia pun mengaku salah dan melanggar peraturan karena tidak memakai helm.
Oleh sebab itu, Dedi meminta Kasatlantas Polres Bogor menilang sepeda motor yang membawa dirinya saat peresmian Universitas Bhinneka Tunggal Ika di Sentul, Bogor, Rabu (11/6/2025).
Penyebabnya, saat menumpangi motor tersebut, Dedi tidak mengenakan helm. "Tentu saya adalah warga negara Indonesia yang melanggar dan itu adalah sebuah kesalahan.
Untuk itu saya mohon Kepala Satuan Lalu Lintas Polres Bogor untuk menilang motor yang membonceng saya tanpa helm karena itu sebuah pelanggaran dan terjadi pada hari kemarin," kata Dedi pada unggahan di akun media sosialnya dan dikonfirmasi Kompas.com, Kamis (12/6/2025).
