Episode 10 of “Road to the Games,” presented by YETI, features seven-time CrossFit Games champion and GOAT Tia-Clair Toomey.Toomey has been on top of the sport of CrossFit for nearly a decade. Her road to the top starts with her mindset of always wanting to be better and never settling for anything but her best.
“To always want to get better and never be satisfied, until you do it yourself, I don’t think you fully understand how heavy and how tiring it really is,” says Toomey. “But there’s just something I can’t fully comprehend or fully explain that’s just deep down inside of me that I just can never settle.”
The legacy that Toomey has left on the sport of CrossFit is unrivaled.
“It’s not always just about that gold medal or that championship title,” Toomey says. “It’s far deeper than that. It’s about the legacy that I’m trying to leave behind.”
“There’s so many layers to why I want to go for another championship, because it’s living proof that if you work hard and you commit, and you’re dedicated to it, you can achieve it.”
