Kapolda Sumbar Bantah Siswa SMP di Padang Tewas Dianiaya Polisi, Korban Sengaja Menceburkan Diri?
TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Kapolda Sumatera Barat Irjen Pol Suharyono mengatakan tidak ada saksi yang melihat keterlibatan polisi dalam tewasnya seorang siswa SMP berinisial AM(13).Diketahui AM ditemukan tewas di bawah Jembatan Kuranji, Kota Padang pada Minggu (9/6/2024).
Kapolda Sumbar mengatakan saat tawuran di malam kejadian, polisi sudah bergerak cepat dengan mengerahkan tidak kurang dari 30 personel pengurai massa.
Ia mengatakan, andai polisi pada saat itu tak hadir, maka bisa menimbulkan korban lebih banyak.
Hal itu lantaran para pelaku aksi diduga akan melakukan tawuran dengan membawa senjata tajam.
"Kemudian perlu kami luruskan di sini, bahwa telah viral di media massa, justifikasi seolah-olah polisi bertindak salah, polisi telah menganiaya seseorang sehingga berakibat hilangnya nyawa orang lain. Namun, tidak ada bukti dan saksi sama sekali," kata Suharyono saat konferensi pers, Minggu (23/6/2024).
Suharyono menjelaskan, sebelum ditemukan jenazah, Adit yang membonceng AM mengajak korban masuk ke sungai agar aman dari kejaran polisi.
Sehingga ia menyebut, AM memang berencana menceburkan diri ke sungai.(Tribun-Video.Com)
