AUFREGUNG IN ROSTOCK: Anstößiges Motto? – Kita sagt "Cowboy und Indianer"-Kostümparty ab

Wenn Kinder etwas mögen, dann ist es ja vor allem, sich zu verkleiden. An einer Kita in Rostock wurde aber eine Kostümparty abgesagt, wegen des Wortes Indianer. Die Idee, sich zum Sommerfest als Indianer oder Cowboy zu verkleiden, kam von den Kindern selbst. Stattdessen gab es aber dann das Motto Pferde und Ponys. Denn das wurde eben als anstößig empfunden. Einige Eltern fanden das wiederum nicht gut. Das Wort Indianer ist v.a. in linkspolitischen Kreisen verpönt, weil europäische Eroberer es den indigenen Völkern Nordamerikas aufgezwungen hatten. Viele Ureinwohner nennen sich selbst auch Native Americans, nutzen aber auch das Wort Indianer. Das muss man eben auch wissen in diesem Zusammenhang.
