16 Tersangka Kerusuhan dan Perusakan saat Demo Agustus, Polisi: Tersangka Bukan Pendemo
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Polisi menetapkan 16 tersangka yang diduga melakukan kerusuhan dan perusakan fasilitas umum pada 28 hingga 31 Agustus 2025 lalu.Para tersangka terbukti melakukan kerusuhan dan perusakan di empat TKP yang berbeda.
Di antaranya, Arborea Cafe di Kementerian LHK, halte di depan Kemendikdasmen, gedung DPR-MPR, dan halte Transjakarta Polda Metro Jaya.
Selain menangkap pelaku, polisi juga menyita 53 barang bukti seperti rekaman CCTV hingga bom molotov untuk membakar fasilitas umum.
Polisi menegaskan, para pelaku yang ditangkap merupakan perusuh, bukan pendemo.
Polda Metro Jaya membuka peluang menangkap tersangka lain di TKP yang berbeda.
Dalam keterangannya pada Senin (15/9/2025) malam, polisi sudah menangkap 16 orang tersangka.
Polisi juga membuka kesempatan untuk masyarakat memberikan informasi terkait keberadaan tersangka lain yang terlibat kerusuhan dan perusakan fasilitas umum.
Menteri Koordinator Bidang Hukum, HAM, Imigrasi, dan Pemasyarakatan Yusril Ihza Mahendra memastikan, mereka yang ditahan tidak akan dikenakan pasal makar maupun terorisme.
Ada 1.400 orang yang sempat ditahan pasca-kericuhan yang terjadi akhir Agustus lalu.
