Dikutip dari Tribun News, Putin berjanji untuk memperdalam hubungan perdagangan dan keamanan dengan negara Korea Utara yang memiliki senjata nuklir dan mendukungnya melawan Amerika Serikat.
Media pemerintah Rusia memperlihatkan Putin dan Kim Jong Un berjabat tangan, berpelukan erat dan berbicara di samping pesawat Putin.
Pesawat itu mendarat di Pyongyang sekitar pukul 02.45 waktu setempat.
Kedua pemimpin tersebut kemudian menaiki limusin yang sama dan berjalan bersama menuju hotel tempat menginap Putin.
AS dan sekutu-sekutunya di Asia sedang mencoba mengetahui sejauh mana Rusia akan mendukung pemimpin Korea Utara.
Dimana negara Kora Utara merupakan satu-satunya negara yang melakukan uji coba senjata nuklir pada abad ke-21.
Sebagai isyarat bahwa Rusia, anggota Dewan Keamanan PBB yang memegang hak veto, sedang mengkali ulang seluruh pendekatannya terhadap Korea Utara.
Putin memuji Korea Utara sebelum kedatangannya karena menolak apa yang disebutnya sebagai tekanan, pemerasan, dan ancaman ekonomi AS.
Putin mengeluarkan perintah presiden pada malam kunjungannya yang mengatakan Moskow ingin menandatangani “perjanjian kemitraan strategis komprehensif” dengan Korea Utara. (Tribun-Video.com)
