Kelompok pejuang tersebut tiba-tiba kembali menargetkan serangan rudal balistik menyasar wilayah Israel.
Agresi yang dilakukan Houthi ini merupakan serangan perdana setelah Iran-Israel melaksanakan gencatan senjata pada 24 Juni 2025 kemarin.
Dalam serangan kali ini, mereka menggunakan rudal jenis Dhu al-Fiqar yang menargetkan area sensitif Israel di wilayah pendudukan, Beersheba.
Hal itu menyebabkan sirene peringatan kembali terdengar di wilayah Israel.
Menurut juru bicara militer Houthi, Yahya Saree, serangan itu dilakukan sebagai bentuk balas dendam atas serangan Israel terhadap warga sipil Palestina selama konflik di Jalur Gaza.
Namun menurut pengakuan militer Israel, rudal yang diluncurkan Houthi itu kemungkinan besar sudah berhasil dicegat sebelum mengenai sasaran.
Tak tinggal diam, Israel kemudian dilaporkan memberikan serangan balasan untuk Houthi.
Israel diklaim telah meluncurkan serangan udara ke wilayah Yaman dengan menargetkan pelabuhan dan bandara Houthi, termasuk di Ibu Kota Sanaa.
