Polls have just opened in France, as the country votes in the first snap parliamentary elections in nearly 30 years.The stakes are high, with the far-right hoping to make significant gains.
Two rounds of voting will choose 577 MPs, who will make up the new parliament.
Most voters will head back to ballot boxes for a second round in a week.
