Sejumlah masyarakat adat menjadi korban penyerangan yang diduga dilakukan oleh ratusan pekerja PT Toba Pulp Lestari (TPL).
Menurut kesaksian warga, sekira 150 orang yang terdiri dari petugas keamanan, buruh harian lepas, dan pemuda berpakaian preman berkumpul di wilayah adat dengan membawa tameng dan potongan kayu.
Petugas keamanan terlihat mengenakan seragam lengkap dengan helm, sementara warga yang mencoba bernegosiasi diabaikan.
Bentrokan pecah setelah massa TPL mendorong dan memukul warga menggunakan tongkat kayu serta melempari batu.
Sedikitnya lima warga dilaporkan mengalami luka akibat serangan tersebut.
Selain itu, posko dan beberapa sepeda motor milik warga mengalami kerusakan.
Hingga kini masyarakat adat Sihaporas memilih bertahan di rumah masing-masing sambil menunggu situasi aman.
Tim Kuasa Hukum Masyarakat Adat Sihaporas, Audo Sinaga, menyatakan akan melaporkan insiden ini ke Polres Simalungun.
