Shelby Super Cars of Richland, Washington has been on a two-decade quest to build the fastest top speed road cars in the world. Back in 2007, he actually did it with the Ultimate Aero TT, beating the Bugatti Veyron's top speed. In 2020, SSC's follow-up, the Tuatara, was hobbled by one of the wildest PR bungles in automotive history. But the car, and the company are both very real, and today, we've gone to a remote corner of Washington State to try it for ourselves!
