“Cuando el Ejército israelí entró en Jan Yunis, causó mucho daño, y las aguas residuales inundaron las casas. Lo que ustedes ven aquí no es nada. El mayor sufrimiento es el que soportan nuestros hijos e hijas en casa y el hedor de las aguas residuales. […] El olor ha causado muchas enfermedades a nuestros hijos e hijas, así como a los niños y niñas pequeños. Tosemos. Padecemos el mal olor. Todo. Nuestros hijos e hijas sufren picaduras, de las chinches y otras cosas extrañas. Por la noche no podemos dormir a causa de los mosquitos”.
