Interview mit Looksmaxxer I STRG_F
⚠️ Achtung, in diesem Film geht es unter anderem auch um Suizid (Timecode: 23:49-25:50 Min.)“Looksmaxxing” steht für den Trend, das eigene Aussehen immer weiter zu optimieren. Was für viele weiblich gelesene Personen schon lange mit Schönheitsdruck verbunden ist, überträgt sich in der Szene der „Looksmaxxer“ auch auf junge Männer. Vom Gym über gefährliche Selbstinjektionen im eigenen Gesicht bis hin zu OPs. Das Krasse: Viele der Plattformen und Foren, auf denen sich User über vermeintliche Tipps austauschen, sind voll von menschenfeindlichem, sexistischem, rassistischem und homophoben Gedankengut. Teilweise werden Leute sogar zum Suizid ermutigt.
Für STRG_F auf TikTok haben wir einen jungen Looksmaxxer getroffen. In den Kommentaren habt ihr nach dem ganzen Interview gefragt – deswegen gibt’s hier jetzt mehr Einblicke in eine extrem schnell wachsende Szene.
