Setelah hampir sebulan, Polda NTB resmi menetapkan istri Brigadir Esco, yakni Briptu Rizka Sintani sebagai tersangka pembunuhan suaminya sendiri.
Briptu Rizka sendiri berprofesi sebagai polwan di Polres Lombok Barat.
Namun, belum diketahui motif hingga peran Briptu Rizka dalam kasus tersebut.
Penetapan tersangka kasus pembunuhan Brigadir Esco ini telah dikonfirmasi Kabid Humas Polda Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), Kombes Mohammad Kholid, Jumat (19/9/2025).
Kholid enggan menjelaskan lebih lanjut terkait adanya tersangka lain dalam kasus pembunuhan Brigadir Esco.
Ia menegaskan penetapan tersangka terhadap Briptu Rizka dilakukan setelah gelar perkara di Polda NTB.
Gelar perkara dilakukan setelah melakukan pemeriksaan sebanyak 53 saksi, pemeriksaan terhadap ahli Pidana dan ahli kriminologi, hingga penggunaan lie detector atau pendeteksi kebohongan dalam pemeriksaan.
Polda NTB bersama Polres Lombok Barat juga telah melakukan penyitaan terhadap barang bukti, melakukan olah kejadian tempat perkara, hingga melakukan penggeledahan dibeberapa lokasi dan berbagai tindakan-tindakan lainnya.
