Israel has announced “preventive strikes” on Iran, triggering a dramatic escalation in regional tensions. Loud explosions were reported in Tehran, with columns of thick smoke seen rising over parts of the capital. Iranian media claimed Israeli missiles struck areas including University Street and the Jomhouri district in Tehran. Reports also suggest that the United States may have participated in the attack and carried out strikes, though official confirmation is still awaited.
