United Airlines Overhauls MileagePlus Program — Here's What To Know
Earning airline frequent flyer miles is getting harder and more expensive. United Airlines is the latest to be making big changes to its MileagePlus frequent flyer program. The airline will give more rewards to customers that have one of the carrier’s co-branded credit cards over those without one. The changes mark the biggest shakeup to the lucrative program in more than a decade. Airlines remade their frequent flyer programs a decade ago when airlines like Delta, United and American changed their frequent flyer programs to reward travelers with miles based on how much they spend on their tickets, not just how far they fly.
