n un video postato sui propri profili social il sindaco di Napoli Gaetano Manfredi mostra la nuova stazione di Capodichino della metropolitana nel corso di un sopralluogo. «È praticamente finita - spiega il sindaco -. L'apriremo a breve, a partire dalla superficie, con l'obiettivo di arrivare alla piena operatività nel 2027. Congiungere l'aeroporto con la metropolitana significa un passo ulteriore per una metropoli all'altezza delle grandi capitali europee. Un'opera straordinaria - sottolinea Manfredi - gestita in tutte le sue fasi dal Comune di Napoli, realizzata dalla MN Spa attraverso la Webuild Group e progettata nello stile di Richard Rogers con lo studio Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, in cui la tecnologia è completamente a vista e diventa parte integrante dell'architettura. Parliamo di una stazione unica: una struttura circolare profonda 50 metri, con quattro scale elicoidali e 8 ascensori panoramici che accompagneranno i passeggeri verso il livello urbano. Ma soprattutto, un nodo strategico per Napoli: collegherà direttamente l'aeroporto al centro citta, al porto e alla stazione ferroviaria in circa 9 minuti.
