Declaraciones de Jorge Rodríguez, diputado y presidente de la Asamblea Nacional de Venezuela, este 26 de junio de 2026 a la 1:20 p.m. Indica que han habido 138 réplicas tras los dos terremotos principales y quie la presidenta encargada Delcy Rodríguez está en La Guaira ayudando a resolver la situación.

Indicó que "la infraestructura afectada o perdida corresponde a 250 edificios, y principalmente estos edificios dañados o deteriorados... ha ocurrido esa situación principalmente en el estado La Guaira y especialmente en la zona de Caraballeda y en la zona de Playa Grande".

Señaló que hay ocho hospitales afectados, algunos han debido ser evacuados (...) 20 centros comerciales deteriorados, 68 obras de infraestructura dañadas también, es decir, 346 obras de infraestructura en total dañadas.

La cifra de fallecidos sube a 188 personas. Hay 1520 personas heridas, ingresadas ya en hospitales y siendo atendidas en este momento. Se reportan 157 personas desaparecidas. "Si hay algún familiar que usted no se ha podido comunicar con él en las últimas horas, a través del sistema VenApp y a través de un número 0800 que vamos a disponer a partir de la tarde de hoy, usted puede reportar la desaparición de su amigo, de su familiar, de su ser querido".

"Hasta ahora hemos contabilizado más de 200 personas atrapadas entre los escombros de los edificios y estamos en una carrera denodada contra el tiempo para rescatarlos vivos a la mayoría de ellos. Hemos contabilizado hasta este momento 2927 familias damnificadas en total".
