China rechaza las acusaciones de EE. UU. en la ONU sobre la crisis en Ucrania
El representante permanente adjunto de China ante la ONU, Geng Shuang, rechazó las acusaciones de Estados Unidos sobre el papel de China en el conflicto entre Rusia y Ucrania. Durante una reunión del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU el jueves, EE. UU. acusó a China de ser el principal proveedor para la campaña militar rusa."Las partes en conflicto no están bajo sanciones del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU. China mantiene relaciones comerciales normales con Rusia y Ucrania. Al hacerlo, no viola el derecho internacional ni incumple sus obligaciones internacionales. Los derechos e intereses legítimos de China no deben verse vulnerados. De hecho, hasta ahora, Estados Unidos ha mantenido su comercio con Rusia. Si EE. UU. lo hace, ¿por qué no permite que otros hagan lo mismo?", afirmó Geng Shuang, representante permanente adjunto de China ante la ONU.
Geng instó a Washington a dejar de difamar a China y a contribuir de forma constructiva a la paz. Advirtió que el continuo envío de armas avanzadas a Ucrania solo agrava el conflicto y eleva el riesgo de una escalada. También subrayó la necesidad de que Rusia y Ucrania reduzcan la tensión en el campo de batalla lo antes posible.
