Umweltschutz vs. Energieversorgung: Gasbohrung in Reichling | BR24
Wenige Tage vor Beginn der umstrittenen Erdgasbohrung im oberbayerischen Reichling sind Umweltschützer in das umzäunte Gelände eingedrungen. Nachdem der Bohrplatz unweit des Ammersees gerodet und planiert worden war, wurden die Aufbauarbeiten der Bohranlage erwartet. Wann die Probebohrung genau beginnen wird, ist noch offen.Sollte die Probebohrung erfolgreich sein, plant das Energieunternehmen eine Förderung von Erdgas über zehn bis 15 Jahre. Es wird eine Gasmenge von 400 bis 500 Millionen Kubikmetern vermutet. Diese könnte in der Förderzeit den heimischen Gasbedarf von 10.000 bis 15.000 Haushalten decken.
In der Gemeinde und bei Umwelt- sowie Naturschützern ist das Projekt sehr umstritten. Insbesondere sorgen sich die Menschen vor Umweltschäden für ihr Trinkwasser. Denn in direkter Nähe zum Bohrloch ist die Trinkwasserquelle des Ortes. Die Region sorgt sich zudem vor negativen Auswirkungen auf Immobilienpreise und den Wirtschaftsfaktor Tourismus. Das Unternehmen hatte seinerseits immer betont, es bestehe keine Gefahr für die Umwelt.
