La recente edizione della fiera romana #PiùLibriPiùLiberi è stata attraversata da una vivace controversia riguardante la presenza della casa editrice #PassaggioalBosco, considerata vicina ad ambienti dell'estrema destra. La questione ha generato una campagna di proteste e alcuni autori hanno scelto di ritirarsi dall'evento, chiedendo l'esclusione della casa editrice.

Secondo i promotori della protesta, la presenza di Passaggio al Bosco sarebbe stata 'incompatibile con i valori democratici' della manifestazione. In rete e sui social sono circolate accuse di 'apologia del fascismo', accompagnate dall'invito a impedire alla casa editrice di esporre. Ma, a conti fatti, di apologia non ce n'è stata traccia. La stessa infatti non coincide con la semplice esposizione o pubblicazione di testi di argomento storico, anche se orientati. Secondo questa interpretazione, la casa editrice in questione non avrebbe violato alcuna norma e, di conseguenza, avrebbe avuto pieno diritto di partecipare alla fiera. I tentativi di escluderla hanno evidenziato perlopiù un tentativo di censura.
