El ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de China, Wang Yi, también se reunió en Ulán Bator con su homóloga mongola, Batmunkh Battsetseg. Durante su encuentro, Wang recordó que Mongolia ocupa un lugar importante en la diplomacia de vecindad de China y señaló que Beijing está dispuesto a trabajar con Mongolia, bajo la orientación estratégica de los líderes de ambos países, para impulsar la coexistencia pacífica y la cooperación mutuamente beneficiosa. Por su parte, la canciller mongola reiteró el firme compromiso de su país con el principio de una sola China y su apoyo a los esfuerzos de China para salvaguardar su soberanía territorial y lograr la reunificación nacional.
