A major scam warning has been issued for Indians working in the UAE, particularly blue-collar workers. The Indian Consulate in Dubai says several Indians have fallen victim to fraudulent agents offering help with visa regularisation, exit permits, Emirates IDs and emergency documents. These agents allegedly collect sensitive biometric data, including fingerprints, facial scans and eye scans, which can then be misused for financial fraud, bank accounts, loans and credit cards. Victims could face financial liabilities, fines, travel bans and even jail time.
