Kanarische Inseln – Die Evakuierung rückt näher. Die „Hondius“ ist im Hafen Puerto de Granadilla eingelaufen. Mehr als 140 Passagiere und Besatzungsmitglieder sitzen seit Tagen wegen eines Hantavirus-Ausbruchs auf dem Schiff fest. Drei Menschen sind tot, sechs weitere mutmaßlich infiziert. Bei Tageslicht soll die akribisch geplante Evakuierungsmission beginnen. Derzeit wird es langsam hell auf der Kanareninsel.Die ersten Menschen, die das Schiff verlassen dürfen, sind nach Plänen der WHO wohl die 14 Spanier. Sie sollen zum nahegelegenen Flughafen Teneriffa Süd gebracht werden. Für die übrigen Passagiere gilt: Erst wenn ein Flugzeug am Flughafen startklar ist, dürfen sie das Schiff verlassen. Sie sollen direkt auf das Rollfeld gefahren werden. Nur Handgepäck darf mitgenommen werden. Die Koffer der Passagiere sollen zunächst desinfiziert werden.
