Nel 2000, sapevano e probabilmente furono coinvolti nell’attacco contro la USS Cole. Molti morirono. Le forze iraniane uccisero e mutilarono centinaia di militari americani in Iraq. Negli ultimi anni, i gruppi sostenuti dal regime hanno continuato a lanciare innumerevoli attacchi contro le forze americane stanziate in Medio Oriente, così come contro navi militari e commerciali statunitensi nelle rotte marittime internazionali. È stato terrorismo di massa, e non lo tollereremo più. Dal Libano allo Yemen e dalla Siria all’Iraq, il regime ha armato, addestrato e finanziato milizie terroristiche che hanno intriso la terra di sangue e morte. Ed è stato un gruppo legato all’Iran, Hamas, a lanciare i mostruosi attacchi del 7 ottobre contro Israele, massacrando più di 1.000 persone innocenti, tra cui 46 americani, e prendendo in ostaggio 12 nostri cittadini. È stato brutale, qualcosa che il mondo non aveva mai visto prima" così il Presidente Trump in un video sui suoi social.
